William Richardson scored two touchdowns to help Coastal Carolina beat North Carolina A&T 20-7 on Saturday night.

South Carolina State 43, Winston-Salem 17

Malcolm Long threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns to lead South Carolina State to a 43-17 victory against Winston-Salem on Saturday night.

(25) Fresno State 36, UCLA 31

Tom Brandstater threw for three touchdowns and Ryan Mathews ran for one score and caught another as No. 25 Fresno State outlasted UCLA 36-31 on Saturday.

Michigan 27, (9) Wisconsin 25

Michigan celebrated its 500th game at the Big House with the first big win of the Roch Rodriguez-era. The Wolverines rallied from a 19-point halftime deficit, and when Wisconsin’s Allan Evridge misfired on a 2-point conversion pass with 13 seconds left, Michigan had sealed a 27-25 victory over the ninth-ranked Badgers on Saturday.

Furman 35, Chattanooga 10

Jordan Sorrells threw three touchdown passes to lead Furman to a 35-10 win against Chattanooga on Saturday.

Navy 24, (16) Wake Forest 17

Eric Kettani rushed for a career-high 175 yards and backup quarterback Jarod Bryant scored the decisive touchdown late in the fourth quarter to give Navy its first win over a ranked team in 23 years, 24-17 over mistake-prone No. 16 Wake Forest on Saturday.

(7) Texas 52, Arkansas 10

Colt McCoy put up five touchdowns in another near-perfect start, and No. 7 Texas routed Arkansas 52-10 on Saturday to hand Razorbacks coach Bobby Petrino an embarrassing debut in a border rivalry famous for close games.

Houston 41, (23) East Carolina 24

Case Keenum threw for 399 yards and three touchdowns, and Houston earned its first win against a ranked opponent in a dozen years by beating No. 23 East Carolina 41-24 on Saturday.

(15) Auburn 14, Tennessee 12

Backup quarterback Kodi Burns did just enough to help No. 15 Auburn run out the clock and preserve a 14-12 win over struggling Tennessee on Saturday.

Charleston Southern 27, North Greenville 0

Tribble Reese passed for 216 yards and two touchdowns to lead Charleston Southern to a 27-0 win against North Greenville on Saturday.

Citadel 34, Western Carolina 14

Bart Blanchard accounted for three touchdowns and Andre Roberts had 135 yards receiving and a score to lead The Citadel to a 34-14 win over Western Carolina on Saturday.

Maryland 20, (20) Clemson 17

Maryland (4-1, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) came in as a big underdog, just like in 2006 here, against the preseason favorites for the conference title. And just like two years ago, the Terps overcame a second-half deficit for the win.
