Clemson University-Tommy Bowden Press Conference: Part 1

Clemson University held a press conference, Monday, to announce that Tommy Bowden is no longer the head coach of the Tigers’ football team. In the first part, Tommy Bowden briefly adressed those gathered at the press conference, then Clemson Athletic Director Terry Don Phillips answered questions about the situation. According to our sister station in Spartanburg, WSPA News Channel 7 Sports Director Pete Yanity confirms with a Clemson Athletic Department official that Tommy Bowden stepped down as Clemson’s head Coach. Dabo Swinney will take over as Clemson’s interim head coach through the rest of this season.

Oakland Raiders Fire Head Coach

The Oakland Raiders have promoted offensive line coach Tom Cable to interim head coach. Owner Al Davis says the 43-year-old Cable will replace Lane Kiffin, who was fired earlier Tuesday just four games into his second season.
