Is Georgia Too Generous Now With Sales Tax Holiday?
Shoppers all over the Peach State hit the stores to take advantage of the 8th sales tax holiday. School supplies, clothes, computers and accessories are all exempt from state and local sales taxes through Sunday. But, with Georgia having severe funding issues, is the state being generous to a fault? WJBF News Channel 6’s George Eskola has the story.

Raid In Allendale Nets Nearly $65,000 In Counterfeit Merchandise
According to a release from the South Carolina Secretary of State’s office, agents with the Secretary of State’s Office and the Allendale Police Department partnered to conduct a sting in Allendale that resulted in one arrest and the confiscation of $64,905 in counterfeit merchandise. The merchandise was seized at This & That Variety at 476 B South Main Street, Allendale.
