Clemson University-Tommy Bowden Press Conference: Part 1

Clemson University held a press conference, Monday, to announce that Tommy Bowden is no longer the head coach of the Tigers’ football team. In the first part, Tommy Bowden briefly adressed those gathered at the press conference, then Clemson Athletic Director Terry Don Phillips answered questions about the situation. Due to the large size of the video, it has been split into four parts.

According to our sister station in Spartanburg, WSPA News Channel 7 Sports Director Pete Yanity confirms with a Clemson Athletic Department official that Tommy Bowden stepped down as Clemson’s head Coach. Dabo Swinney will take over as Clemson’s interim head coach through the rest of this season.

Riley Skinner threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to D.J. Boldin with 5:28 left to help No. 21 Wake Forest beat Clemson 12-7 on Thursday night.

No. 21 Wake Forest, Clemson meet Thursday Night In Key ACC Showdown

Clemson is about to find out if it still has Wake Forest’s number. Wake Forest coach Jim Grobe’s team is looking to change that Thursday night when No. 21 Wake Forest plays host to the Tigers in what’s almost an elimination game between the two preseason favorites in the league’s Atlantic Division.

Maryland 20, (20) Clemson 17

Maryland (4-1, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) came in as a big underdog, just like in 2006 here, against the preseason favorites for the conference title. And just like two years ago, the Terps overcame a second-half deficit for the win.
