SC Soldiers Still Missing From Wars To Be Honored

Dozens of South Carolinians missing from foreign wars, as well as those held as prisoners, will be recognized during a luncheon as part of a national day of awareness. ‘The Post and Courier’ of Charleston reports that the luncheon for ex-POWS and those missing in action is being held Friday at Charleston Air Force Base as part of National Prisoner of War-Missing in Action Recognition Day.

SC Governor Heads to Florida for Reserve Duty

South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford is heading to Florida, where he will don a uniform for his stint in the Air Force Reserves.

President Bush To Return To SC

President George Bush will make a brief visit to South Carolina later this week. After several appearances in Florida on Friday, the President flies to the Charleston Air Force Base where he will meet and pose for pictures with members of the Simpsonville Stars. The team recently won the Little League Softball World Series.
