North Augusta Captain D’s Restaurant Burglary Suspects Sought

In an e-mail to WJBF News Channel 6, the North Augusta Department of Public Safety is aksing for help from the public to identify a suspect in the burglary of the North Augusta Captain D’s restaurant, located at 102 Edgefield Road. The burglary occurred on June 11th.

Captain D’s Robber Dies After Being Shot

A man attempting to rob an Augusta restaurant was shot and killed by an off-duty Richmond County Investigator. And now, that investigator has been placed on administrative duty. The shooting happened at the Captain D’s along the 3000 block of Wrightsboro Road, Monday night. Count on our Fraendy Clervaud. He has the story.

New Information: Off-Duty Augusta Officer Shoots, Kills Robbery Suspect

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is looking into a shooting death, involving an officer, at a Wrightsboro Road fast food restaurant. It happened around 8:00. Monday evening, at the Captain D’s Seafood, located at 3166 Wrightsboro Road.  The GBI now reports that the suspect who was killed by the off-duty officer was carrying an air rifle or “BB gun.“  An autopsy is scheduled on the subject, who died last night.
