Burke County Investigators Uncover a Dogfighting Ring
Authorities in Burke County uncovered a gruesome dogfighting ring. One person was arrested and investigators are still looking for more suspects. It all happened along the 1000 block of Scotts Store Road in Millen, Georgia. We have to warn you, the following story contains some very graphic pictures of the dogs and what was done to them. Mother of 11 Children Found in “Deplorable” Home Sentenced to 16 Years Probation
One year ago Friday, 11 children were removed from a filthy Burke County home, and placed into foster care. Friday, Christine Long, the mother of those 11 children, sat in front of a judge to hear her sentencing. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has the story.

UPDATED: Missing Burke County Teen Located In Richmond County
According to Sgt. Dan Lowe, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office needs assistance from the public in locating a runaway juvenile. The juvenile is identified as 14-year-old Clarissa Mack, who is described as being 5’5” tall, and weighing 130 pounds. Update: Mack has since been found in Richmond County.

Waynesboro Murder Suspect Arrested In Fulton County
An accused killer will be brought back to Burke County to face charges of murdering a 16-year-old boy, two years ago. Stanley Howard will be brought back to Burke County on Saturday. He is accused of killing 16-year-old Damian Wright, in Waynesboro, back in August of 2007.

A man has mysterious disappeared in Burke County. Now, investigators need your help to find 35-year-old Silas Gabriel Fletcher. WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop has the details on the search. Burke County Shooting Suspect Sought
The Burke County Sheriff’s Office needs your assistance in locating a wanted suspect from Burke County. On the night of May 2nd, Alphonzo Lorenzo Burley, allegedly shot victim, Johnny B. Godbee, twice in the left thigh during a fight at Club Midnight, in Burke County. The suspect also shot his brother, James Eric Burley, in the lower abdomen by accident during the fight.
