Folks in Burke County say they’re desperate for help…With nearly 400 burglary cases since the start of the year, they’re trying to stop the high rise in crime.

Authorities in Burke County uncovered a gruesome dogfighting ring. One person was arrested and investigators are still looking for more suspects. It all happened along the 1000 block of Scotts Store Road in Millen, Georgia. We have to warn you, the following story contains some very graphic pictures of the dogs and what was done to them. WJBF News Channel 6 has received reports of a bank robbery in Beech Island, SC. We are told that the First Citizens Bank on 2020 Atomic Road was robbed, Monday morning. We have no other details at this time. We will provide more information as it becomes available. UPDATE: The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has sent us updated information and surveillance images of the suspects.

According to Sgt. Dan Lowe, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office needs assistance from the public in locating a runaway juvenile. The juvenile is identified as 14-year-old Clarissa Mack, who is described as being 5’5” tall, and weighing 130 pounds. Update: Mack has since been found in Richmond County.

A man has mysterious disappeared in Burke County. Now, investigators need your help to find 35-year-old Silas Gabriel Fletcher. WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop has the details on the search. UPDATE: Fletcher has been located safe and sound in Burke County. He said he had been working on a local farm.

The search for an escaped inmate continues, in Burke County. It’s been one week since the suspect fled from the Burke County Jail. WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop has the latest. UPDATE: Jerry Lee Jones has been captured in North Carolina.

The Burke County Sheriff’s Office needs assistance from the public in locating a inmate, which was a trustee, that walked away from a work detail Tuesday morning. The inmate, 44-year-old Jerry Lee Jones, who is 5’9” tall, weighing 135 lbs., was last wearing a white shirt and pants with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office on the back of the shirt.

According to ‘The True Citizen’ newspaper, a Burke County deputy has been arrested in Richmond County.

The Burke County Sheriff’s Office needs your assistance in locating a wanted suspect from Burke County. On the night of May 2nd, Alphonzo Lorenzo Burley, allegedly shot victim, Johnny B. Godbee, twice in the left thigh during a fight at Club Midnight, in Burke County. The suspect also shot his brother, James Eric Burley, in the lower abdomen by accident during the fight.

A surprising case of child neglect made its way into court, Monday. During the summer, Burke County Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered a filthy home with eleven children inside. Monday, their mother was indicted. Count on our Fraendy Clervaud. He has the story.

According to a release from the GBI, on Thursday evening, November 20th, the FBI, Florida Division of Law Enforcement, and the Suwannee Florida County Sheriff’s Department arrested the following subjects in connection with the death of Canche Reina, in Burke County, earlier this month.

Brothers Emerino and Lino Miguel likely hiding out Florida. Both are wanted for the murder of Reina Canche.
