Thieves broke out a rear building in Grovetown’s CIty Hall and made off with the safe and other cash. The Columbia County Crime Scene Unit processed tire tracks and footprints found at the scene.  Count on Renita Crawford, the only Reporter on the scene to bring you the story.

According to Lt. Michael Frank, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO), in cooperation with the Perry Police Department, arrested two Wagener men concerning the November 13 burglary and theft from the Perry Police Department, at 147 Center Street, in Perry. They turned themselves in Thursday night. The men are identified as Michael Hutto, and 29-year-old Daniel Conder.

Athens-Clarke police believe two men jailed in a theft case are responsible for a rash of car break-ins and home burglaries across the county.  Police got a break Wednesday when a citizen called 911 after he witnessed two men breaking into cars in an East Athens neighborhood.

Clayton County police say three people were shot during a robbery attempt that left a teenage girl and a suspect dead.

According to Lt. Michael Frank, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) has arrested three Barnwell men, who early Tuesday morning smashed the front door of a convenience store with a large rock, and then carried away nearly 70 cartons of cigarettes from 3 Way Food Store, at 2260 Pine Log Road, in Warrenville, South Carolina.

According to Lt. Michael Frank, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO), arrested an Aiken man, early Tuesday morning, who along with several other individuals, tied up a man, cut him with a knife and then stole his wallet, cell phone and automobile from the 1500 block of Wire Road, in Aiken, South Carolina.
