Tubman Middle School Burglarized
Richmond County deputies are investigating an apparent burglary at Tubman Middle School, after an alarm alerted them shortly before 3:00 a.m., on Wednesday morning. Deputies say the suspects ran, but a 17-year-old was arrested. They are searching for the other suspect.

Robbers Nab Laptop From SC County Democratic HQ

Goshen Golf Course Vandalism Suspects Arrested
Three suspects are under arrest, facing charges of causing $70,000 worth of damage at a local golf club. The damage occurred last month at Goshen Plantation, in Augusta. The suspects arrested are identified as 18-year-old Patrick Branson Frank, 18-year-old Matthew Jeffery Fording, and an unidentified 16-year old. They are charged with Burglary, and Criminal Trespass in the 2nd Degree. A fourth suspect, 18-year-old William Justin Wiggins, is still wanted.

UPDATED: Aiken Man, Two Juveniles Arrested in School Burglary and Vandalism
According to Sgt. Dave Myers, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Aiken, SC man Tuesday night concerning the burglaries and vandalisms which have occurred at Oakwood-Windsor Elementary School, located at 3773 Charleston Highway (Highway 78) over the last six weeks. Joshua Luke Moore, 17, of the 500 block of Matties Country Court, in Aiken, is charged with two counts of Burglary 2nd Degree. UPDATE: Two juveniles have also now been arrested.

North Augusta Captain D’s Restaurant Burglary Suspects Sought
In an e-mail to WJBF News Channel 6, the North Augusta Department of Public Safety is aksing for help from the public to identify a suspect in the burglary of the North Augusta Captain D’s restaurant, located at 102 Edgefield Road. The burglary occurred on June 11th.

Color Tyme Burglary Suspect Sought
According to Investigator Aaron Hanssz, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) needs the public’s assistance to catch a burglary suspect. Sometime between 6:00 p.m. on May 23rd, and 2:44 a.m. on May 24th, a suspect broke into Color Tyme, located at 2115 Windsor Spring Road, in Augusta, and stole two televisions valued at over $1,700 apiece.
SC Inmate Recaptured After Walking Off Job
A South Carolina inmate who walked away from his job at a poultry plant in Dillon has been recaptured. The Corrections Department said 41-year-old James McCracken was captured around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday while hiding under a bridge near Galivants Ferry. They say McCracken left the Perdue Farms plant Tuesday afternoon.

Neighbor Catches Edgefield County Burglar
In Edgefield, South Carolina there could be a big break after an arrest in a burglary case…several burglary cases, in fact. According to Captain Steve Morris, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking a suspect in an attempter robbery at Meineke Mufflers, located at 3815 Washington Road. The incident occurred Monday morning.

SC Bill Would Set Minimum Time For Home Invasions
Anyone convicted of breaking into someone’s home in South Carolina with a weapon and threatening those inside would be sent to prison for at least 20 years under a bill approved by a legislative panel.
Belair Baptist Church Burglary Suspects Sought
According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, Belair Baptist Church, on the 4000 block of Jimmie Dyess Parkway, was burglarized on Friday morning, April 3rd. Investigators are currently searching for suspects in that burglary. According to the incident report, a deputy arrived to find the rear door of the Sunday School building kicked open. The deputy then checked the rest of the building, and called a church official to the scene.

Columbia County Woman Dies After Being Attacked During Home Burglary
A Columbia County woman, beaten in her home, has died. Columbia County Sheriff’s Office investigators say Laverne Parsons was beaten Wednesday after she walked in on a burglary in her home. She died Thursday at the Medical College of Georgia. Her death is the first murder in Columbia County, this year. WJBF News Channel 6’s Renita Crawford has more.
