Rightsizing Augusta Schools Discussed At Education Conference

Right-sizing the efficiency of Augusta’s schools was the topic at an education conference. Statewide budget cuts are causing school systems across the board to get creative and slash school spending. School board members held a retreat this weekend to finalize right-sizing data and Monday afternoon Superintendent Doctor Dana Bedden talked about those plans. Count on our Fraendy Clervaud.

Right Time For Richmond County School Rightsizing?

Statewide budget cuts are forcing local school systems to find ways to operate more efficiently, quickly. Richmond County Superintendent Doctor Dana Bedden says that’s where rightsizing comes in…an initiative leaders have been working on for months. This weekend, school board members went over final data and met with their consultant as they move toward making a decision. WJBF News Channel 6’s Paige Tucker has the story.
