Man Dies While Breaking Into Building In Richmond County

According to Lt. Scott Peebles, Tuesday morning, at about 8:44 a.m., the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a deceased person call on the 1900 block of Kissingbower Road. Upon arrival, officers located the body of 56-year-old Henry Lee Smith deceased in the backyard of the residence.

Woman Beaten After House Broken Into In Columbia County

The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to be on the lookout for a break-in suspect who attacked a woman in her home after she returned from taking her kids to school. The break-in and attack occurred in the Orchard Hill subdivision, off of Columbia Road, on Hot Springs Court, around 9:00 a.m., Wednesday morning.

Rash of Robberies Investigated In South Augusta

Richmond County Investigators are looking into a rash of burglaries taking place in South Augusta. Just this week, authorities received about ten different cases. Count on WJBF News Channel 6’s Fraendy Clervaud, who talked with a homeowner who was burglarized, for the story.

Edgefield County investigators are looking for the people responsible for an overnight breaking at a North Augusta high school. The sheriffs office says the break in happened at Fox Creek High School sometime over the past few days.

Richmond County investigators are looking for the people who broke into an Augusta school. In surveillance video from the Academy of Richmond Academy, two people with scarves covering their faces, kicked open the door of the school.

Augusta GreenJackets’ Office Broken Into

Investigators are looking for the bandit who broke into the Augusta GreenJackets office, and made off with several hundred dollars. The break-in happened sometime over the weekend.
