Columbia County, in cooperation with Lakeside High School, wishes to inform the driving public of a temporary road closure for all traffic on the northern end of Blue Ridge Drive (between Evans To Locks Road and Fairfield Way). The closure is due to the Lakeside High School Panthers 5K Run, on Saturday, October 31st.

According to Columbia County EMA Director Pam Tucker, a bear report was received Thursday morning from a Columbia county resident saying two bear cubs were seen on the playground at Blue Ridge Commons, around 2:00 a.m.
