The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents to be on the lookout for a break-in suspect who attacked a woman in her home after she returned from taking her kids to school. The break-in and attack occurred in the Orchard Hill subdivision, off of Columbia Road, on Hot Springs Court, around 9:00 a.m., Wednesday morning.

Authorities say a Rome man was found bloody and beaten on a Macon road after he was kidnapped, violently attacked and apparently left for dead. Authorities found 25-year-old Calvin Creamer in a public park Wednesday and he was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where he underwent surgery and was in critical condition on Wednesday.
