According to Lt. Scott Peebles, on Thursday afternoon, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has filed charges against 28-year-old Roger Antonio Bettis, of North Augusta, in reference to the June 3rd assault of a 63-year-old woman at MCG Hospital.

Wednesday, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) announced that they are offering a $2,000 reward for information which leads to the arrest of the man responsible for the June 3rd assault on the female victim at MCG Hospital. The assault occurred in the fourth floor women’s restroom.

The hunt continues for the man who attacked a woman in the bathroom of a local hospital. WJBF News Channel 6’s Renita Crawford has reaction to the incident from hospital officials.

According to Sgt. Ronald Sylvester, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for a suspect for a attempted sexual assault at MCG. The incident happened around 8:30 p.m., on Wednesday night. The victim was assaulted in a 4th floor bathroom near the ICU unit. There’s new information in the brutal beating of a man in the bathroom of the Sears store at the Augusta Mall. You’ll remember 54-year-old Lawrence Stephens was beaten so badly in November that he had to spend 3 nights in a hospital. Now, investigators need your help to find two men. They say the men used Stephens’ stolen credit cards at a local Wal-Mart.

According to Lt. Scott Peebles, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $1,000 cash reward for anyone providing information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the November 23rd beating and robbery of a 54-year-old Augusta man inside of the bathroom of Sears at the Augusta Mall.
