WJBF News Channel 6 has confirmed that the Wachovia Bank, on Wheeler Road has been robbed. Investigators are at the scene and there is a perimeter search for the suspect. We will have more on this developing story as it becomes available.

Columbia County Bank Robbery Suspect Sought
Investigators are looking for the man they say held up a Columbia County credit union, Thursday morning, just before noon.
North Augusta Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
According to Lt. Tim Pearson, of the North Augusta Department of Public Safety, the suspect in a North Augusta bank robbery, at the Wachovia branch on Georgia Avenue, has been arrested. Sherrod Jarvis Miller, 47, was arrested in Atlanta on Wednesday, and is awaiting extradiction to North Augusta.

Richmond County Bank Robbery Suspect Sought
According to Sgt. Calvin Chew, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a bank robbery suspect. Sgt. Chew says on Monday October 19th, at approximately 3:34 p.m., a suspect robbed the Wachovia Bank located at 2835 Washington Road, in Augusta.

According to Lt. Tim Pearson, the North Department of Public Safety (NADPS) detectives have identified the suspect responsible for the Wachovia bank robbery, at the corner Georgia Avenue and Buena Vista Avenue, last week.

Richmond County Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
According to Lt. Scott Peebles, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in a Friday morning bank robbery at the Fifth Third Bank branch located at 2756 Peach Orchard Road. The suspect is identified as 23-year-old Jeremiah Williamson.

WJBF News Channel 6 has received reports of a bank robbery in Beech Island, SC. We are told that the First Citizens Bank on 2020 Atomic Road was robbed, Monday morning. We have no other details at this time. We will provide more information as it becomes available. UPDATE: The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office has sent us updated information and surveillance images of the suspects.

According to Sgt. Blaise Dresser, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is on the hunt for a bank robbery suspect. On Wednesday, at 11:30 a.m., deputies responded to a robbery that had just occurred at Regions Bank, located at 2507 Peach Orchard Road.

UPDATED: Clearwater Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
WJBF News Channel 6 has just learned there has been a bank robbery at the Regions Bank branch, in Clearwater, SC. A suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money, and officials are searching for him. UPDATE: We now have a release from the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office. UPDATE: Danny Lee Gant was arrested in Richmond County on Tuesday, August 11th, and extradicted to Aiken County on Thursday.

“Limping Bandit” Arrested Near Charleston
According to Lt. David Turno, with the Aiken Department of Public Safety, a suspect in a 2007 Aiken bank robbery has been arrested near Charleston. He was known as the “Limping Bandit” to the FBI, and is suspected in over 20 bank robberies across the Southeast.

UPDATED: Bank Robbery Suspect Shot And Killed, 2 Others Arrested
A bank robbery in Aiken County Wednesday afternoon, ended with a standoff, shots fired, and one suspect dead. It all started in Jackson, South Carolina. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has the story.
