Dave Myers, a body that SCE&G Beech Island Power Plant employees discovered Wednesday afternoon in the Savannah River, has been identified as 52-year-old Gregory Brabham of Beech Island, S.C. Brabham’s death is being considered a homicide investigation, and is being investigated as such by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office. UPDATE: According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, the autopsy of Gregory Brabham has revealed that his death is a homicide. The cause of death will be revealed at a later date, as investigators say releasing the cause of death may hinder the investigation into Brabham’s death.

According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, a body was found floating in the Savannah River near Beech Island, SC around noon on Wednesday. The body has been identified as 52-year-old Gregory Brabham, of Beech Island SC. Carlton says circumstances surrounding the discovery of Brabham’s body appear suspicious. Autopsy is scheduled for Thursday morning in Newberry, SC.

Authorities in Swainsboro are piecing together clues into an unidentified woman’s death. The woman’s body was found in a room at the Sunset Inn, on Highway 1 south.

According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, the body of a 54-year-old white male was discovered near Warrenville, SC on Friday morning. UPDATE: Autopsy has revealed that Phillip Pennington died of natural causes. An enlarged heart and atherosclerosis were cited as the primary causes. Toxicology results will be available in about two weeks.

A former Yale University lab technician charged with murdering a graduate student last month is expected to plead not guilty.

According to Lt. Scott Peebles, Tuesday morning, at about 8:44 a.m., the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a deceased person call on the 1900 block of Kissingbower Road. Upon arrival, officers located the body of 56-year-old Henry Lee Smith deceased in the backyard of the residence.

We have the latest on the Yale University murder investigation. A lab technician made his first court appearance Thursday on the charge he murdered Yale graduate student Annie Le. Raymond Clark III was a co-worker of Le, whose body was found Sunday stuffed behind a wall in the building where they both worked. It was supposed to be her wedding day. Connecticut’s state medical examiner says a Yale University grad student died of traumatic asphyxiation.

A Connecticut official says New Haven police have identified a “person of interest” in the death of a Yale University graduate student. The state official has firsthand knowledge of the police investigation in the death of 24-year-old Annie Le.

The Connecticut medical examiner is withholding autopsy results on a Yale graduate student at the request of prosecutors. Dr. Wayne Carver says prosecutors asked that the results be withheld “in order to facilitate the investigation” into the killing of 24-year-old Annie Le.

According to Richmond County Chief Deputy Coroner Mark Bowen, Earl Clark, 53, died Friday night in an accident on Mike Padgett Highway.

According to Lt. David Turno, investigators from the Aiken Department of Public Safety are looking for any information about a deadly shooting that occurred around 8:10 p.m. Tuesday evening. UPDATE: According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, the victim of a shooting in Aiken, has been identified as 30-year-old Donald M. McCalla, Jr. of Princess Lane, in Aiken.

Police are investigating the deaths of a South Carolina man and woman whose bodies were found along a dirt road in a wooded area. Multiple media outlets reported that the bodies of 32-year-old Talya Poston and 26-year-old Bill Hall were found Tuesday in Florence County. Police think they were shot.

Aiken County Investigators are searching for two men. They say Maurice Council and Akia Jordan shot and killed a teenager at T&S Mobile Home Park Wednesday night. It’s the third murder there in the last two years. Neighbors want more of a police presence in the area, but police say without community cooperation, everyone is running out of options.
