Could Arena Site Save TEE Center?

Arranging For Change Of Augusta Coliseum Authority

Augusta TEE Center Fit For Funding
Voters approved $20 million for Augusta’s new TEE Center, in the 2005 sales tax, but that’s not enough to complete the project. But, city leaders are proposing a financing plan that will get the stalled center moving forward. WJBF News Channel 6’s George Eskola has the story.

Augusta Coliseum Authority Members Blast Each Other
Tuesday, the show at the James Brown Arena was in the boardroom…not on stage. It was the first meeting since eight members signed a letter slaming state lawmakers and questioning their motives in revamping the Augusta Coliseum Authority. The bill abolishes the current Coliseum Authority, on June 1st, and as this board prepares to go, it goes out with a bang. Letter From Augusta Coliseum Authority Blasts Lawmakers

Charlotte Newspaper Report About Lynx Disbanding Pulled; Hockey Officials Say “Business As Usual”
One moment it was up, the next moment it was gone. A report on the Charlotte Observer’s website announced that its city’s hockey team would have schedule changes because a planned game against the Augusta Lynx was off. The article reported that the Lynx were on the verge of disbanding.
