Apple Store Opens In Augusta
If you’re into iPhone, iPod or any other Apple product…then you don’t have to go to Atlanta to get it anymore…because Apple has a store in Augusta now. Second Suspect Arrested In North Augusta Murder
In an e-mail to WJBF News Channel 6, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office says, in coordination with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, a second suspect has been arrested concerning the murder that occurred at 374 Woodberry Lane in North Augusta, S.C. on June 11, 2009. Myra Wright, of the 100 block of Reiser Court, in Augusta, is charged with Accessory/Accessory after the fact of Murder.

Augusta Mall Owner Files Chapter 11
Last decade, Augusta watched as Regency Mall went down. Now, Augusta Mall’s owners are facing financial trouble. General Growth Properties, the second-largest shopping center owner in the country has filed for bankruptcy. WJBF News Channel 6’s George Eskola has reaction from Augusta Mall, the state, the city, and shoppers.
Augusta Mall Operator Files For Bankruptcy Protection
General Growth Properties Inc. (GGP), the nation’s second-largest mall operator, says it has filed for bankruptcy protection after failing to convince its debt holders to give it more time to refinance its crushing debt. The Chicago-based real estate investment trust said early Thursday it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in a New York court. Some 158 regional shopping centers under its control also filed for bankruptcy protection. GGP owns and operates the Augusta Mall.

Reward Offered In Augusta Mall Beating
According to Lt. Scott Peebles, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $1,000 cash reward for anyone providing information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the November 23rd beating and robbery of a 54-year-old Augusta man inside of the bathroom of Sears at the Augusta Mall.
