Augusta Citizens Clean Up The Botanical Gardens
It’s no more weeds at the Augusta Botanical Gardens. A handful of volunteers from the area spent Saturday cleaning up after getting permission from state officials. We talked to some who say this clean-up is here to stay. WJBF News channel 6’s Fraendy Clervaud has more.

Group Tries To Gain Access To Help Augusta Botanical Gardens
It’s a growing problem for Augusta, the weeds at the former Georgia Golf Hall of Fame. A citizens group is trying to get access to the Augusta Botanical Gardens to mow down the overgrowth, but is still waiting for approval from the Georgia Golf Hall of Fame board. Organizers say they expect to hear something soon that will allow the job to get done.

Senator Tarver Throws A Curve Ball In Stadium Plans
Thursday, Augusta Senator Ed Tarver announced his disappointment in what he called a “premature press conference, o One that was held last Thursday with Mayor Deke Copenhaver and Augusta GreenJackets owner, Cal Ripken, Jr. It came as some what of a shock to the Mayor. An email was sent from Senator Tarver, to Governor Sonny Perdue, expressing why there should not be a ball park at the Golf and Gardens property. WJBF News Channel 6’s Barclay Bishop has more.
