The president of a South Carolina technical college has been suspended after an audit. ‘The Times and Democrat’ of Orangeburg reported Tuesday that Denmark Technical College President Dr. John K. Waddell has been suspended without pay.

Police: GA Principal Arrested In Cheating Probe
Police say a suburban Atlanta principal and his assistant principal have been arrested in connection with an investigation into whether student test scores were altered to improve school performance. Former Atherton Elementary principal James Berry was arrested at home Friday. Assistant principal Doretha Alexander turned herself in to police Thursday night and was later released on bond.

Agency Audit Targets Safety At Savannah River Site
An audit of a nuclear weapons complex in South Carolina says the Savannah River Site did not meet several safety standards when constructing a new facility. The 31-page Department of Energy report released last month also found that one of the mistakes at the site near the South Carolina-Georgia border could have resulted in a spill of high-level radioactive waste.
