Augusta Red Cross Accepting Donations For Local Storm Relief

In an e-mail to WJBF News Channel 6, The Augusta Chapter of the American Red Cross is accepting donations to assist victims of Friday night’s storms. The American Red Cross of Augusta has assisted many families in the areas that were affected by this weekend’s tornadoes.

Damage Assessment Continues In South Carolina after Weekend Storms

In an e-mail to WJBF News Channel 6, the South Carolina Emergency Management Division (SCEMD) tells us they are currently assisting several counties in South Carolina which were affected by severe weather, including tornadoes, late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

UPDATED: Aiken County Red Cross Continues Disaster Relief Operations

In an e-mail sent to WJBF News Channel 6, the Aiken County Chapter of the American Red Cross continued disaster relief operations, Sunday, to assist those affected by the tornadoes. The Jackson Middle School shelter is no longer in operation as school is back in session. Their Emergency Response Vehicle is out distributing food and medical supplies. Once a new shelter is set up, we will let you know as soon as possible.
