It’s a warning, from one local woman who says she almost lost her life, because she was blind to her surroundings. Amanda Broome says she was locked inside a camper, which was then set on fire by her boyfriend. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has the story.

UPDATED: Suspect Sought In Aiken County Arson Case Arrested
Aiken County authorities are looking for a man suspected of setting a Gloverville house on fire with two people locked inside. They say Richard Odell Johnson, 39, of Gloverville is wanted for kidnapping, arson and criminal domestic violence after the Saturday morning fire. UPDATE: Sgt. Dave Myers, with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office tells us Johnson was arrested in Richmond County Sunday night.

Arson May Be Cause Of House Fire Near North Barton Chapel Road
Richmond County fire investigators are looking into a house fire near North Barton Chapel Road. Neighbors noticed the home was on fire around 3:00 a.m., Sunday morning…saying it started in the attic.
Haverhill Court Fire Being Investigated As Arson
Augusta investigators are looking into a fire, believed to be arson. The fire happened early Saturday morning on Haverhill Court. Investigators tell us they suspect the home was being robbed and the suspects set the house on fire to cover their tracks.

Authorities Say Fires At Shuttered SC Mill Intentionally Set; Investigation Continues
Authorities say two recent fires at a former South Carolina mill were both intentionally set. Officials in Rock Hill said Thursday that the investigation continues to determine the origin and cause of both fires at the mill formerly known as The Bleachery. A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Additional Charges Filed Against SC Pastor
Anderson County sheriff’s deputies have filed more charges against a pastor accused of burning his church earlier this month. The Anderson Independent-Mail reported that 40-year-old Christopher Patrick Daniels of Belton has been charged with making a false statement about vandalism at Blue Ridge Baptist Church, where he was pastor.

SC Pastor Charged With Setting Fire At His Church
Authorities say a South Carolina pastor set fire to his own church. The State Law Enforcement Division has charged 40-year-old Christopher Daniels with second-degree arson. Anderson County Fire Chief Billy Gibson says Daniels reported a fire at Blue Ridge Baptist Church in Belton when he opened the church for services Sunday morning.
