North Augusta Public Safety Officer Arrested

According to Lt. Tim Pearson, on Wednesday, November 18, 2009, North Augusta Department of Public Safety Officer (NADPS) Brandon L. Cameron, 27, was arrested by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO). Cameron has been charged with Criminal Domestic Violence.

Police in Conway, SC say a missing two-week-old baby boy was found safe, Tuesday afternoon. Public Information office Catina Hipp says one woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and another person is being questioned.

Edgefield Man Re-Arrested After Jumping Out Of Police Car

After a three-hour manhunt, on Saturday, an Edgefield County man is now behind bars. Investigators say 34-year-old Tony Brice was arrested on suspicion of DUI, after officers found an open container of alcohol in his car. Officers say they handcuffed Brice and put in him the patrol car, but Brice kicked out the back window, and jumped out.

Former Aiken County Teacher Arrested for Criminal Sexual Conduct With A Minor

According to Sgt. Dave Myers, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) has arrested a former Aiken County middle school teacher concerning Lewd Act and Criminal Sexual Conduct with a minor. Joseph Jay Magni, Jr., 28, of the 400 block of Cannon Knoll Road, in Lexington, South Carolina is charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor (5 counts), and Lewd Act (5 counts). Magni formerly taught at Leavelle McCampbell Middle School.

Seacrest Stalker Behind Bars

Another accused stalker is behind bars today. This time it is a twenty-five year old man accused of stalking television and radio host Ryan Seacrest.

North Augusta Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested

According to Lt. Tim Pearson, of the North Augusta Department of Public Safety, the suspect in a North Augusta bank robbery, at the Wachovia branch on Georgia Avenue, has been arrested. Sherrod Jarvis Miller, 47, was arrested in Atlanta on Wednesday, and is awaiting extradiction to North Augusta.

According to Sgt. Dave Myers, On October 10th, Richard Brown, wanted for Armed Robbery in Aiken County, was detained by Daytona Beach, Florida authorities for unrelated charges. Richard Brown, 29, of Hard Street, in Graniteville, SC is charged with Armed Robbery, and Assault and Battery of a High and Aggravated Nature.

UPDATED: Edgefield County Burglary Suspect Arrested

The Edgefield County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection to a burglary, earlier this week on Sunset Circle, in Merriwether, SC. Richard Glenn Hester, 49, is being sought on charges of burglary in the second degree and grand larceny in connection to the case. His last known address was on the 200 block of Flores Lane, in Martinez, GA. UPDATE: Hester has turned himself into authorities

Actor Peter Fonda says international authorities had better things to focus on than catching Roman Polanski. Fonda told local radio Wednesday that “we should have been celebrating the arrest of Osama bin Laden and not the arrest of Polanski.“
