Suspect’s Motion Examined In TV Anchor Slaying

A handwritten motion by the man charged in the slaying of an Arkansas television anchorwoman from South Carolina will be the focus of a court hearing. The motion by Curtis Lavelle Vance asks Judge Chris Piazza to relieve his team of state-provided public defenders. Vance claims his defense lawyers “already criminally and conspiratorially” crippled his defense by withholding material from him.

Man Accused In TV Anchor Death Wants New Lawyers

The man accused of killing an Arkansas television anchorwoman from South Carolina says he no longer trusts his defense team. Curtis Lavelle Vance said in court Tuesday that prosecutors had evidence that he had not seen and that his lawyers would not talk to him about. Vance told the judge “you all got the whole world thinking I did this.“
