Evans, GA Woman Helps High School Football Players Thousand Of Miles Away
Football has always played an important part in the life of Evans resident Cathy Parker. Her husband, Carl, played for the Bengals in Super Bowl Twenty-Three. Her oldest son, Kyle, is a freshman quarterback at Clemson. But never, in Cathy’s wildest dreams, could she have imagined that a high school football team in Alaska would change her life forever. UPDATED: Alaska Governor Sarah Palin To Resign
Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she will resign from office July 26. Her spokesman wouldn’t say why Palin decided to step down, but the announcement stirred speculation that she would focus on a bid for the 2012 Republican nomination for president.

Sarah Palin Stumps For Saxby Chambliss In Augusta
Georgia’s hotly contested U.S. Senate runoff campaign is almost over. Incumbent Saxby Chambliss and challenger, Jim Martin, have been fighting tooth and nail for Chambliss’ seat. Both candidates were in the Garden City this morning, trying to drum up support in the campaign’s final hours. Senator Chambliss brought a political heavy hitter with him. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin attended a Chambliss rally at the James Brown Arena, and Jim Martin atended a rally at Augusta’s Democratic headquarters. WJBF News Channel 6’s Paige Tucker has the story.

Public Invited To Attend Saxby Chambliss Rally With Sarah Palin In Augusta
Former GOP Vice Presidential candidate, and current Alaska Governor, Sarah Palin will visit Augusta Monday December 1st to campaign for U.S. Senator Saxby Chambliss. Governor Palin will cover several Georgia cities Monday, but Augusta is her first stop at 8:30 a.m.

As Governor, Palin At Times Bonds Church And State
The camera closes in on Sarah Palin speaking to young missionaries, vowing from the pulpit to do her part to implement God’s will from the governor’s office. What she didn’t tell worshippers gathered at the Wasilla Assembly of God church in her hometown was that her appearance that day came courtesy of Alaskan taxpayers, who picked up the $639.50 tab for her airplane tickets and per diem fees.
