Aiken Man Arrested For Aiken County Homicide

According to Sgt. Dave Myers, Saturday evening, Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) investigators arrested an Aiken man for the homicide of another Aiken man following an altercation that turned deadly. Allen Christopher Tufano, 35, of the 700 block of Partridge Bend, in Aiken, is charged with Murder, and Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime.

UPDATED: Second Suspect Arrested In Aiken Murder

Officers in Aiken are trying to solve their first murder case in nearly two years. Tuesday night, a man was shot to death near downtown Aiken. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has the details. UPDATE: According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, the Aiken Department of Public Safety has arrested 20-year-old Freddie L. Simpkins for the murder of Donald McCalla. UPDATE: According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, a third suspect, Jeremy Holloway is still wanted in the murder. UPDATE: Jeremy Holloway turned himself into the Aiken Department of Public Safety around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

UPDATED: Deadly Shooting In Aiken Ruled A Homicide

According to Lt. David Turno, investigators from the Aiken Department of Public Safety are looking for any information about a deadly shooting that occurred around 8:10 p.m. Tuesday evening. UPDATE: According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, the victim of a shooting in Aiken, has been identified as 30-year-old Donald M. McCalla, Jr. of Princess Lane, in Aiken.

UPDATED: Third Suspect Arrested In T&S Drive Murder In Aiken County

Aiken County Investigators are searching for two men. They say Maurice Council and Akia Jordan shot and killed a teenager at T&S Mobile Home Park Wednesday night. It’s the third murder there in the last two years. Neighbors want more of a police presence in the area, but police say without community cooperation, everyone is running out of options. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has more. UPDATE: Sammy Leon Smith, 33, has now been arrested in connection to the death of 16-year-old James Collins.

Aiken County Murder Suspect Arrested

According to Capt. Troy Elwell, Akia Jordan, 17, of Ridgecrest Road, in Aiken, surrendered to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday. Jordan has been charged with Murder, Assault and Battery with Intent to Kill, Simple Assault and Battery and Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime. the charges stem from the shooting death of 16-year-old James Collins on T&S Drive, last week.

A Georgia man is in jail in Aiken after officers say he confessed to stabbing his wife. Aiken Department of Public Safvety officers say 54-year-old Kenneth Hines, of Lithonia, Georgia dropped his wife off at Aiken Regional Medical Centers on Sunday.

William “Refrigerator” Perry Released From Hospital

William “The Refrigerator” Perry has been released from the hospital after a monthlong stay for complications of a nervous system disorder. Aiken Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Melissa Summer said the former Chicago Bears star was released on Wednesday after being treated for Guillain-Barre Syndrome.
