UPDATED: Third Suspect Arrested In Aiken Burger King Robbery
According to Lt. David Turno, Aiken Department of Public Safety Officers responded to an armed robbery about 12:45 p.m., on Saturday, at the Burger King, located on York Street, in Aiken. UPDATE: The fatality from the Burger King robbery has been identified as Richard Lee Simmons, 24, of Columbia, SC. UPDATE: Investigators have charged both Robert Mills, Jr. and Sean Mark Rodriguez with one count of Possession of a Weapon during the Commission of a Violent Crime, one count of Robbery while Armed with a Deadly Weapon and 16 counts of Kidnapping. Both are being held at the Aiken County Detention Center. UPDATE: Toryast Jermaine Johnson, 28, of Columbia, SC has been arrested in connection to the robbery.
Five Arrested For Spray Painting Graffiti At Aiken High School
Five people have arrested for last month’s Aiken High School vandalism (spray painting graffiti). The suspects are identified as Andrew Meisenheimer, Landon Yarosh, and Nickalas Meyers, as well as two juveniles, whose names have not been released due to their age.

Woman Wanted For Attempting To Run Over Police Officer In Aiken
According to Lt. David Turno, on Saturday, Oct. 17th, during a traffic stop, Merita S. Carter did attempt to run down the Aiken Department of Public Safety officer who had pulled her over for speeding. Carter is wanted for Assault with Intent to Kill, Speeding 63/45, and Reckless Driving. Carter is 5’7” and 150 lbs. She was last driving a black 2005 Nissan Sentra.

Burglary Suspects Sought In Aiken County
According to Sgt. Dave Myers, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary on the 500 block of Rainbow Falls Road, in Graniteville, SC. The burglary occurred on Thursday morning.

UPDATED: Second Suspect Arrested In Aiken Murder
Officers in Aiken are trying to solve their first murder case in nearly two years. Tuesday night, a man was shot to death near downtown Aiken. WJBF News Channel 6’s Joy Howe has the details. UPDATE: According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, the Aiken Department of Public Safety has arrested 20-year-old Freddie L. Simpkins for the murder of Donald McCalla. UPDATE: According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, a third suspect, Jeremy Holloway is still wanted in the murder. UPDATE: Jeremy Holloway turned himself into the Aiken Department of Public Safety around 2:00 a.m. Saturday morning.

Aiken Kangaroo Express Robbery Suspect Sought
According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, the Aiken Department of Public Safety (ADPS) is looking for a suspect in a Tuesday morning robbery in Aiken. Sgt. Dowdy says, Tuesday morning, at about 05:45 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at the Kangaroo Express at the intersection of Richland Avenue West at University Parkway (3540 Richland Avenue West).

According to Lt. David Turno, investigators from the Aiken Department of Public Safety are looking for any information about a deadly shooting that occurred around 8:10 p.m. Tuesday evening. UPDATE: According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, the victim of a shooting in Aiken, has been identified as 30-year-old Donald M. McCalla, Jr. of Princess Lane, in Aiken.

UPDATED: Aiken Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure, Failing To Register As Sex Offender
According to Sgt. Aaron Dowdy, the Aiken Department of Public Safety is seeking Willie Albert Mathis, Jr, 37, for Indecent Exposure. The Aiken County Sheriff’s Office also wants Mathis for Failing to Register as a Sex Offender. Update: Willie Mathis has turned himself in at the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office. Both warrants will be served on him Wednesday.
