According to Sgt. Dave Myers, On Tuesday August 4, 2009, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Clearwater Village Apartments community, will be hosting the 2009 National Night Out, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., at the Clearwater Village Apartments.

Aiken County Elementary School Children to Help Name Bloodhound Puppies

According to Lt. Michael Frank, the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) is pleased to announce the birth of four bloodhound puppies to Jessie, a member of the Aiken Bloodhound Tracking Team. ACSO is sponsoring the Pin the Pups Name Contest and inviting students from all 20 elementary schools in Aiken County to name the puppies. Beginning Thursday, teachers will distribute entry forms to students, who then can submit up to four names.
