Wagener, SC Man Dies In Aiken County Accident
According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, 40-year-old Stanley A. Jones, of Wagener, SC was pronounced dead at the scene of a single vehicle crash that happened around 6:15 p.m., Thursday evening.
Breaking News: Accident Ties Up Traffic I-20, Exit 183
Traffic is tied up at Interstate 20 at Exit 183, following a vehicle accident. There is no word on injuries, however ambulances and law enforcement are there. If possible, try to avoid the area for the time being.

Man, Horse Killed In Collision On Athens Highway
A man and a horse have been killed in a collision on the Athens Highway near Gainesville. Georgia State Trooper Michael Talton said he had no idea why the bridled horse was loose. He said the animal wandered into the northbound lanes Thursday a short distance south of the Gaines Mill Road intersection.

According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, at approximately 11:43 p.m. on May 22, 2009 a pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 25 north and Sweetwater Road, in Aiken County.

Warrenville Woman Dies After Accident Near Wagener
According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, Tonya Bragg, of Warrenville, SC was pronounced dead Wednesday at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital, in Columbia SC. Bragg was the driver of a 2006 Nissan Altima that was involved in a single car crash near Wagener, SC on May 15, 2009.

Columbia County Accident Injures One On Flowing Wells Road
An accident sent one person to the hospital Tuesday morning. It happened about 8 am in Columbia County Georgia. A green car overturned on Flowing Wells Road. The person inside went to the hospital with minor injuries. A gold SUV was also involved in the wreck. No word yet on why the accident happened. Deputies are still investigating.

Savannah Man Killed In Head-On Bus Crash Avoiding Alligator
Authorities say 47-year-old Stephen Newell of Savannah died after he swerved his vehicle to avoid an alligator and slammed head on into a Greyhound bus. The crash occurred about 10:45 p.m. Friday on Highway 170 in Jasper County.

The morning rain may have contributed to a bad accident in Augusta…It happened around 8:00 a.m. Friday morning on the 1200 block of Augusta West Parkway. Two people were injured when a car went out of control and slammed into the front of Bassett Furniture Direct.

Man Dies Of Heart Attack, Wife Injued in Wreck
According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, an early morning traffic crash in Aiken County was determined to be caused by a sudden cardiac event. Michael Jones, 61, was traveling north on Hitchcock Parkway in Aiken, at approximately 6:45 a.m., when he suffered a cardiac arrest, crossed the southbound lane, left the roadway and went about 100 feet into the woods. He was driving a 1997 Lincoln Towncar.

UPDATED: Augusta Hospital Chaplain From SC killed In Wreck
A truck driver has been charged with vehicular homicide in the death of a hospital chaplain from South Carolina. A Richmond County sheriff’s spokesman said 67-year-old Bill Snyder, a minister in North Augusta, S.C., was killed when the moped he was riding collided with a dump truck.

Columbia County Teacher Dies In Wreck
WJBF News Channel 6 has learned a special education teacher at Grovetown Middle School died in a single car wreck, on Monday. The teacher is identified as Ida Ware Scott. Scott was a seventh-grade special education teacher.
