With our strong commitment to the community we have created Support the Fort our newest community campaign brought to the CSRA by WJBF News Channel 6 and Gordon Chevrolet. The Fort Gordon community makes up not just an important part of our country’s national defense, but they also contribute to our community both socially and economically. There are some changes at fort Gordon’s Gate 1 we need to let you know about. Starting Thursday, contruction on a 3-month-long project starts.
WJBF News Channel 6 viewers may notice some smoke in the area of Fort Gordon on Thursday. Not to worry, though, the Army Post’s Wildland fire Team is conducting a prescribed burn.

The disaster in Haiti hit very close to home for a Fort Gordon soldier who is mourning the loss of several members of his family. Apart from the recent loss, this soldier has even more to worry about…as he’s now on pins and needles waiting to hear from other family members who are still unaccounted for.
