Augusta, GA—The U.S. Senate runoff is set for Tuesday, pitting imcumbent Republican Senator Saxby Chambliss against challenger, Democrat Jim Martin.

Both made stops in Augusta on Monday.

Early Monday morning, Chambliss’ campaign held a rally at the James Brown Arena, with Alaska Governor Sarah Palin making an appearance on Chambliss’ behalf.

Around lunchtime, Jim Martin was at a rally at the Richmond County Democratic Party’s headquarters.

Be sure to tune in to WJBF News Channel 6 for the latest election coverage as the votes are counted. The polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.
