COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Attorney General Henry McMaster is back on the road pitching his GOP credentials as he mulls a bid for governor.

McMaster will be at the Myrtle Beach Republican Club Monday for a noon meeting.

He’s not alone in considering a run for the GOP nomination as Gov. Mark Sanford wraps up his last two years in office.

Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer and U.S. Rep. Gresham Barrett say they’re still deciding

Democrats are coming and going as well. House Minority Leader Harry Ott of St. Matthews said last week he’s still thinking about a bid. But state Rep. James Smith said he’s no longer considering a run and would back state Sen. Vincent Sheheen of Camden, who is gauging support.

Former Democratic Chairman Joe Erwin hasn’t decided on a bid yet, either.
