ATLANTA (AP) - Former Vice President Al Gore is heading to Atlanta Sunday to stump for Jim Martin.
Martin is locked in a Dec. 2 runoff with Republican Sen. Saxby Chambliss.
Gore is the latest big name to beat a path to Georgia. Bill Clinton will be in town for a rally Wednesday.
On the GOP side, former presidential candidates John McCain and Mike Huckabee have appeared for Chambliss.
Gore recently won a Nobel Peace Prize for his work on global warming. He lost the 2000 presidential race to George W. Bush.
Gore’s former campaign manager, Donna Brazile, is also Georgia-bound to help Martin.
