The body of a woman discovered late Friday night in Greenville County is being investigated as a homicide.

Greenville, SC—The body of a woman discovered late Friday night in Greenville County is being investigated as a homicide.
According to Lt. Tim Ridgeway with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call around 9:15 Friday evening after an eldelry couple, who was out spotting wildlife off of Staunton Bridge Road at Lakeside Road, found the body of a deceased white female about 100 feet below a bridge in a creek. Sources tell WSPA News Channel 7 that the woman’s body was found naked and she was face up laying in the creek.
Matt Armstrong with the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office says that an autopsy will be completed Saturday morning and the woman is believed to be in her twenties and lived in Greenville. He says the identity of the woman will be released as soon as her family is notified.
