Woman Killed In Aiken Motorcycle Crash
According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, 35-year-old Christie Valenzuela, of Aiken, SC was pronounced dead at the Medical College of Georgia, on Friday afternoon, at 3:55 p.m. Mrs. Valenzuela was the passenger on a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by her husband, 40-year-old Michael Valenzuela, also of Aiken.
Aiken, SC—According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, 35-year-old Christie Valenzuela, of Aiken, SC was pronounced dead at the Medical College of Georgia, on Friday afternoon, at 3:55 p.m.
Mrs. Valenzuela was the passenger on a 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by her husband, 40-year-old Michael Valenzuela, also of Aiken.
The couple was traveling west on Redds Branch Road, at 11:50 a.m., when Mr. Valenzuela took an evasive action (which is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol) causing the loss of control of his motorcycle. The couple then fell from the motorcycle and she was fatally injured. Mr. Valenzuela was moderately injured, however not thought to be life threatening.
This crash is the 27th fatal crash in Aiken County this year.
