COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Attorney General Henry McMaster says the state has reached a $45 million settlement with drug maker Eli Lilly & Co. over the company’s marketing of an anti-psychotic drug.

McMaster’s office said Friday that the agreement is the second largest settlement deal in state history.

McMaster sued the Indiana-based drug maker in 2007, arguing it had improperly marketed Zyprexa. The settlement recovers state funds used to treat illnesses allegedly caused by the drug.

Earlier this month, McMaster said he would return campaign contributions from two attorneys he hired to assist the state in its lawsuit.

Lilly officials did not immediately return a message Friday.

Eli Lilly has made $38 billion on Zyprexa and it was way oversold and caused diabetes and in some cases sudden death.
Eli Lilly has received a huge criminal fine over their Zyprexa cash cow,add it all up comes to $4.6 billion, in Zyprexa settlements, fines, litigation.
We put Lilly products in our babies they really need to clean up their act and quit with the white wash.

Addictive Zyprexa was pushed by Lilly Drug Reps.
They called it the “Five at Five” (5 mg at 5 pm to keep nursing home patients subdued and sleepy) and “VIVA ZYPREXA” (Zyprexa for everybody) campaigns to off label market Eli Lilly Zyprexa as a fix for unapproved usage.

Eli Lilly is ‘reaping the whirlwind’ for aggressive marketing of Zyprexa that has caused suffering and deaths.
There must be millions out there harmed by this drug.

WARNING-
If a drug (Zyprexa) lists anything about the pancreas among the side effects, it probably means it can cause diabetes.
Unlike your liver, the pancreas does not regenerate itself. If it gets damaged, diabetes is very likely.
