SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Police are investigating a break-in at the Democratic Party headquarters in one South Carolina county.

The Herald-Journal of Spartanburg reports Friday that a laptop was taken during a burglary at the party office in Spartanburg, late last month

Party chairman Glenn Lindman says the computer did not contain sensitive party or voter information. Lindman says the only interesting information on the laptop might be election commission data, which is public anyway.

Lindman says the computer was in a kitchen area, and police think the thieves might have entered through a window.
