Police: SC Man Killed In Traffic Was Being Chased

Authorities say a South Carolina man struck and killed by a car was chased into traffic by two men in another car. Multiple media outlets reported that 30-year-old Jason Stewart was killed Saturday night as he tried to run away from someone who threatened him while trying to rob him at his home in Greenville.

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a South Carolina man struck and killed by a car was chased into traffic by two men in another car.

Multiple media outlets reported that 30-year-old Jason Stewart was killed Saturday night as he tried to run away from someone who threatened him while trying to rob him at his home in Greenville.

Investigators say Stewart ran away, and at least one person started chasing him with a car until he stepped into traffic and was struck by a different vehicle.

Authorities have ruled Stewart’s death a homicide and say he died from head and chest injuries.
