North Augusta Man Dies In Motorcycle Crash
According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, a 30-year-old North Augusta man was pronounced dead at Medical College of Georgia Shock Trauma Unit at 3:23 p.m. Friday. Timothy Shane Frierson was the driver of a Kawasaki 600 ZZR motorcycle that crashed at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. Frierson was transported to Medical College of Georgia just after the crash. According to witnesses Mr. Frierson was traveling in excess of 100 MPH at the time of the crash.

Further details of the crash are not known at this time.
Frierson’s cause of death was a traumatic brain injury.
North Augusta Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash and the Aiken County Coroner’s office is investigating the death. Preliminary findings indicate that this may be an alcohol related death. Further toxicological tests are pending.
