MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - No more daily lunches for the homeless at city parks in Myrtle Beach.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported that City Council voted 6-1 Tuesday to limit meals for the homeless in city parks to four times a year.

Withers Swash Ministry held the lunches last year.

Residents in the neighborhood complained about the gatherings. Some people told the council Tuesday they think the meals bring more crime.

Councilman Chuck Martino says the city is not limiting the feeding of the homeless, just the locations.

Councilwoman Susan Grissom Means says the parks should be places for families and children to gather.
