Man Killed While Doing Yardwork
A North Augusta South Carolina man was hit by a car and killed Sunday afternoon while in his front yard. According to coroner Tim Carlton, Mr. William Adams of Seymour Drive was hit by a 2002 Ford Taurus while trimming plants and stacking them near the roadway. The 72-year suffered multiple trauma.

According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, Mr. William Adams, of Seymour Drive, was hit by a 2002 Ford Taurus while trimming plants and stacking them near the roadway.
The 72-year suffered multiple trauma.
The driver of the Taurus was identified as Chatrice Evans, also of Seymour Drive, in North Augusta.
The accident is being investigated by North Augusta Public Safety and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office. Carlton says that Mr. Adams’ death is the 33rd traffic death in Aiken County in 2009.

Bill Adams had advocated for years to have a speed bump placed on that road due to the speeders. His concern was for the kids that played nearby. Little did he know that one day he would become the victim. Bill has touched many lives ... including mine. Bill lives on through the lives he has touched. But, now he has a bigger garden to tend! Bill, you are loved by so many and will be missed! I will see you again and will join you in gardening for the “Master”.
