TOWSON, Md. (AP) - An extradition hearing is scheduled in Maryland for a South Carolina woman accused of neglecting her 555-pound son’s health.
Baltimore County police say 49-year-old Jerri Gray was found last week with her son, 14-year-old Alexander Draper, at a laundry in the Baltimore suburb of Woodlawn. Police found them after tracing calls on the mother’s cell phone.
Gray was charged on a South Carolina warrant for violating a custody order and a video extradition hearing is scheduled for Tuesday. Gray told police she won’t fight the extradition.
