Darlington, SC Lands Festival Sponsor

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Darlington Raceway’s Historic Racing Festival has signed O’Reilly Auto Parts as a presenting sponsor.

Track president Chris Browning announced the move Tuesday. Browning says having a company as well known and tied into cars as O’Reilly shows the track’s racing festival can stick around for more than a couple of seasons.

Darlington held its first festival last Labor Day weekend. This year’s event is scheduled for Sept. 26-27. The festival will feature historic cars touring Darlington’s 1.366-mile oval. It will also include question-and-answer sessions from several NASCAR standouts like David Pearson and Cale Yarborough.
