UNDATED—Autopsy results on 14-year-old James Cody Fox, the North Augusta Middle School student who collapsed during PE class, this week, show he died of cardiac arrhythmia, due to an enlargement of part of his left ventricle.
Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton tells us this is typically a birth defect that may develop over time, with no symptoms. So, how do you know if your child is safe on that baseball, or football field, or even in gym class?
