Clearwater, SC—The Clearwater Fire Department continues to answer calls, despite losing its chief and two others.

Chief Mike Toole was fired by the Clearwater Water Commisioner.

Earlier this week, Toole turned himself in, after a two-year old warrant for a misdemeaner surfaced at the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.

We called the Water Comissioner to find out why Toole was let go, and if that warrant had anything to do with it, but our calls were not returned.

Despite the loss of three people, we’re told 25 volunteers are still answering calls at that station.
