UPDATED: Autopsy Results Returned After Body Found In Warrenville, SC

According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, the body of a 54-year-old white male was discovered near Warrenville, SC on Friday morning. UPDATE: Autopsy has revealed that Phillip Pennington died of natural causes. An enlarged heart and atherosclerosis were cited as the primary causes. Toxicology results will be available in about two weeks.

Warrenville, SC—According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, the body of a 54-year-old white male was discovered near Warrenville, SC on Friday morning.

At approximately 7:00 a.m., a passerby near the intersection of Howlandville Road and Highway 421 made the discovery.

The body has been identified as Phillip Pennington, of Warrenville, SC.

At this time there are no suspicious circumstances.

Mr. Pennington was seen on video at the IGA grocery store in Warrenville, at approximately 7:00 p.m., Thursday night.

Autopsy is scheduled Friday in Newberry, SC.
