Aiken County Council Republican Primary Being Held Tuesday

Aiken County voters are at the polls Tuesday elect a new Aiken County Council member. They’ll decide who replaces longtime Councilman Eddie Butler’s District 5 area. Butler is stepping down from his seat, in November, because he is moving out of that district. Candidates in the Republican primary are Barry Baggott, Andy Cheek, Alexander “Sandy” Haskell and Larry Murphy.

Aiken County, SC—Aiken County voters are at the polls Tuesday elect a new Aiken County Council member. They’ll decide who replaces longtime Councilman Eddie Butler’s District 5 area.

Butler is stepping down from his seat, in November, because he is moving out of that district.

Candidates in the Republican primary are Barry Baggott, Andy Cheek, Alexander “Sandy” Haskell and Larry Murphy.

Polls will be open until 7:00 p.m. Only those residents who live in District 5 will be eligible to vote.
