UPDATED: Aiken County Accident Claims One Life
According to Aiken County Corner Tim Carlton, an Aiken County traffic accident has claimed the life of one person. The accident happened near Mt. Beulah Road and Old Barnwell Road, in Aiken County. The victim has now been identified as 52-year-old Joseph D. Randall, of Williston, SC.

According to Coroner Tim Carlton, the fatality in Monday morning’s fatal crash has been identified as 52-year-old Joseph D. Randall, of Williston SC. Mr. Randall was traveling north on Old Barnwell Rd. in Aiken County, when he lost control of his 2005 Suzuki motorcycle. Mr. Randall slid into the southbound lane and was struck by a 1994 Lincoln four door vehicle. Mr. Randall was pronounced dead at the scene at approximately 10am. Mr. Randall died from multiple body trauma. This crash is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office. Toxicology is pending. This is the 32nd fatal crash in Aiken County this year. Mr. Randall was a reserve officer with New Ellenton Police Department.
