5th Street Bridge Ramp Reopens In North Augusta

You might have been able to use it on your way home, Friday. The 5th Street bridge has been closed for several months, but is now reopened to traffic coming from North Augusta.

North Augusta, SC—You might have been able to use it on your way home, Friday. The 5th Street bridge has been closed for several months, but is now reopened to traffic coming from North Augusta.

South Carolina Department of Transportation crews have been redesigning exit and entrance ramps and adding guardrails at the Aiken-Augusta highway entrance to the bridge.

The bridge reopened to thru traffic Friday afternoon, and those new ramps are now open for use.
